Greens are among the most nutrient dense and healthiest foods one can eat, and thus the more we can consume the better. It is difficult to chew large quantities of greens, but by placing them in a smoothie, large amounts can be eaten, and they can be made very tasty by adding some fruit to the smoothie. Following is a recipe sent in by Health Minister Lydia Eskander who lives in South Plainfield, New Jersey.

Ingredients

1 cup baby spinach
1/2 cup to 1 cup distilled water (amount determines a thin or thick smoothie)
1-2 bananas (depending on size of banana)
1/2 cup frozen mango (or any other frozen fruit)
1/4 cup fresh pineapple
1 tablespoon of ground flax seed
*ORGANIC INGREDIENTS ARE ALWAYS RECOMMENDED

Directions

Whole-food meal with leafy greens, beans, grains, berries, avocado, seeds, and vegetables being prepared in a sunlit kitchen.
