This method of eating a salad takes part of the load off the chewing process. The items are still crunchy, so the texture is very nice. The flavors mingle during the processing so the salad takes on a delightful new taste.
Ingredients
1 carrot, peeled and cut in chunks
2 cups Romaine lettuce, or more if desired
1 small apple, cored, cut in chunks
1/3 cup crunchy sprouts
5 large mint leaves, torn in pieces
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
10 pecan halves
½ Tbsp. maple syrup (optional)

2. Pulse until ingredients are processed into small pieces, about the size of a corn kernel or a piece of rice
3. Place mixture in a bowl and stir in maple syrup
