Jill’s Raw Rice Milk

This is one of our favorite dairy free vegan recipes! Add this easy to make rice milk to your vegan at home cookbook. It's delicious and much healthier than any store-bought alternative. With just a few simple ingredients and a blender, you can make a tasty and nutritious drink that's packed with vitamins and minerals. So, let's get started and learn how to make Jill's Raw Rice Milk!

Ingredients

1 cup RAW Brown Rice or whole gain

2 cups purified water

Directions

I use 1 cup of RAW Brown Rice or other whole grain (like oats) and soak it overnight in 2 cups of purified water. In the morning, I drain and rinse the grain. Then I process the soaked grain, with 4 cups of purified water, in a VitaMix (or other strong blender), and then strain it through a fine mesh cloth. One could use more or less water for a thinner or creamier milk consistency. Refrigerated, it will keep for several days and probably up to a week.

The milk may still contain some very fine sediment, which settles to the bottom, so it needs to be stirred before each use. ENJOY!
