Raw Salsa

Ingredients

6 medium tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 small banana pepper (not jalapeno), chopped
 4 celery stalks, minced
1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive oil
Chopped nuts or seeds to taste, if desired.
1-2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 cup of Sweet basil leaves
1 lemon, optional
1 lime, optional

 

Directions

1. Mixed chopped vegetables together and allow to stand one hour.
2. Add olive oil, chopped nuts if using, garlic and basil.
3. Allow mixture to sit until flavors have blended, approximately one hour. For added zest add the juice of one lemon and one lime.
* Note: Hot jalapeno peppers damage the mucous membranes and the lining of the stomach.
