Iced Ginger Mint Green Tea

Combining the nutrition and health benefits of ginger with the refreshing taste of green tea and mint, this drink is a perfect treat on a hot summer day.

Honey adds a delicious flavor and sweetness, but if you’re watching your sugar, use liquid stevia instead for a guilt-free alternative that won’t compromise on taste. Serves 4 This recipe is gluten free

Ingredients

4 cups water
4 green tea bags
3 T. fresh ginger
½ cup fresh mint leaves, plus a few extra for garnish
2-3 T. honey, or 1 tsp. liquid stevia
1 lemon, thinly sliced (optional)

Directions

1. In a pot, add water and ginger, and bring to a boil.
2. Turn off heat, add tea bags, mint leaves, honey or stevia, and steep for about 15-20 min.
3. Strain and chill, and serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
Whole-food meal with leafy greens, beans, grains, berries, avocado, seeds, and vegetables being prepared in a sunlit kitchen.
