My story begins in Nov. of 1999, when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, with a Gleason score of 6, as determined by biopsy. On Dec. 2 of 1999, I started the hormone therapy, Lupron, which was administered by one injection.
In Jan. 2000, I went on the Hallelujah Diet. I had one more Lupron injection on Feb. 24, 2000. Shortly thereafter, I decided to suspend the hormone treatment, due to it's side effects of dizziness & lethargy. By March of 2000, I was able to get off my blood pressure medication and I had lost 18 lbs., thanks to the Hallelujah Diet. On Aug. 23,2001, I entered Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota on the urging of my family doctor, urologist, family and friends to have a radical prostatectomy, because of a recent increase in my PSA.
While in the clinic, the doctors ordered a PSA test. The results were lower than previous tests. Upon hearing this wonderful news, I told the doctor that I'd rather have another biopsy than to proceed with the surgery. Praise God!!! The biopsy came back clear of cancer. I thank Dr. Francis Bierl, a Health Minister, for introducing me to the Hallelujah Diet. Most of all, I'd like to thank Rev. George Malkmus for developing the diet and for being so courageous to spread the message that, You Don't Have to be Sick.
