Green Smoothie

When we think of smoothies we usually think of fruit, but a very tasty and extremely nutritious smoothie can be made using raw good greens and walnuts. This smoothie is very high nutritionally, high in calcium and an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids. In last week's Health Tip #439, in the article titled "A Typical Day on The Hallelujah Diet," we said that a "Green Smoothie" could be consumed an hour or so after rising for a healthy raw vegan breakfast, if you were not trying to lose weight.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons Flax Seed (freshly ground)

OR (not both) 3 tablespoons B-Flax-D

1/4 cup Walnuts (freshly ground)

1 leaf of Kale

1/2 cup baby Spinach

1 small ripe Banana

6 ounces Apple Juice (organic)

3 ounces purified water

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed for 60 seconds.
