Ingredients
2 ½ cups water, or amount for desired thickness
1 Tbsp. maple syrup, or amount to taste (optional)
1/16 tsp. to 1/8 tsp. unrefined salt (or to taste)
Directions
2. Strain blended mixture through a stainless-steel mesh strainer to remove fiber.
3. Add walnut/water mixture back to blender.
4. Add salt and maple syrup and blend briefly.
Best when cold from the refrigerator.
Option: Some people soak their nuts overnight and then pour off the soak water when ready to make their milk. Soaking makes the walnuts softer to blend. A high-powered blender typically blends the nuts efficiently without having to soak the nuts.
