Glass of carrot collard juice made with carrot, collard greens, apple and celery

Carrot Collard Juice

The dark green chlorophyll from the collard leaves disguises the rich orange color of the carrots. However, the rich sweet taste of carrots shines through loud and clear when consumed.

Ingredients

5-6 extra-large carrots, peeled for sweeter juice
5 extra-large collard leaves, stems included
1 apple, core removed
3 large celery ribs
1 cup alfalfa sprouts

Directions

1. Run all ingredients through a juicer
2. Strain and enjoy
3. Store undrunk juice in 8 oz. caning jars in the refrigerator. When using a Green Star Juicer, this juice can keep up to 3 days.
Whole-food meal with leafy greens, beans, grains, berries, avocado, seeds, and vegetables being prepared in a sunlit kitchen.
