This is not really a holiday recipe, but something my eight year old son and I enjoy almost every day for a healthy raw vegan breakfast or snack when fresh organic cranberries are in season. It's a combination that hits the spot." Annette's Raw Cranapple Smoothie contains all the benefits of raw foods and is absolutely raw delicious. Let's get started:
1 Apple (We use Granny Smith, but a sweeter variety may be desired)
1/4 cup fresh Cranberries
2 tablespoons ground Flax seed (I use a coffee grinder)
A little vanilla, honey, maple syrup or other sweetener if desired.
Blend cranberries and sliced apples until as smooth or chunky as desired. Stir in sweetener. Top with ground flax seeds. ENJOY!
