Why does the Hallelujah Diet give such spectacular results? The answer to that question is a very simple one: When God designed these fabulous physical bodies we each possess, He designed them to run on a certain grade of fuel or kind of food. When we put the proper fuel (food) into our bodies, our bodies run the way God designed them to run – but when we put in the wrong fuel they do not run properly. It is that basic and simple! The Bible puts it this way in Galatians 6:7: “Whatsoever a man (or women) soweth, that shall he (or she) also reap.” When we experience physical breakdown, it is merely the body responding to the wrong fuel, most of the time. Almost every physical (and psychological) problem we experience — whether over or under weight, high blood pressure, diabetes, pimples, asthma, arthritis, upset stomach, cancer, colds, osteoporosis, heart attacks, acid stomach, strokes, headaches, etc. — is usually the body reacting to the wrong fuel. As we stop putting the wrong fuel (food) into our bodies and start putting the right fuel (food) in, the body will almost always automatically and usually quite quickly correct the physical problem or problems we were experiencing, and start functioning the way God designed. Some years ago a man wrote to tell me that after being on the Hallelujah Diet for only six months, he had lost 60 pounds in weight, and 28 different physical problems had disappeared from his body. Our experience has shown that within six months or less after a person adopts the Hallelujah Diet, more than ninety percent of all physical and even psychological problems are gone.
The Hallelujah Diet Is Really A "Diet"
Just what is this Hallelujah Diet? Well, really it is not a ‘diet’ at all – but rather it is a LIFESTYLE. Typically, a diet is something a person does for a period of time to obtain a desired result and then reverts back to their old ways. A person may experience improvement on a particular diet, but when they go back to their old ways the old problems usually return. Some weight loss often results in even more weight gain than before the diet when they return to their old diet. On the other hand, a lifestyle change is something we do for the rest of our lives, and that is really what the Hallelujah Diet is – a lifestyle change. Through the years I have had but one guiding light that kept me on the straight and narrow, and against which I weighed every modality that came my way: and it was that original diet God had given to mankind as found in the Bible in Genesis 1:29. And what was that diet? It was simply raw fruits and raw vegetables, raw seeds and nuts. This original diet contained no animal products, refined sugar or grains, cooked foods, or chemical additives.“AND GOD SAID, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it hall be for FOOD.” ~ Genesis 1:29
So Genesis 1:29 became the foundation upon which I based everything I was learning. If it fit the teachings of Genesis 1:29, I took heed to what was being said; if it did not, I cast it aside as not worthy of consideration.
Why Some Cooked Foods Were Added
In the beginning I practiced and taught ALL RAW food, but later learned that this was too traumatic for many people. I found that most people are so addicted to cooked food that totally giving it up was more than they could emotionally handle, and this produced a lot of cheating, and ultimately many people threw in the towel. A solution to that problem was adding some cooked food to the Hallelujah Diet at the evening meal. This simple addition of some cooked food became a little reward for being good (staying raw) the rest of the day. And we found that people were able to get the same or even better results than with the 100% raw food diet. Thus, this little bit of cooked food at the end of the evening meal made the diet more feasible for the masses and because some cooked foods contain more nutrients in their cooked form then in their raw form – like lycopene in tomatoes. . There are other things build into the Hallelujah Diet that are extremely important. Every component has its reason for being there and leaving out any one thing will usually reduce the effectiveness of the program.
The Importance of Juicing
For instance, it is almost impossible to get enough nutrients to the cellular level of the body by simply eating raw fruits and vegetables, because we lose some 65 percent of the nutrients in the digestive process – and besides, we don’t chew our foods well enough to release all the nutrients. On the Hallelujah Diet, with the addition of juices, we concentrate the nutrients in the form of raw vegetable juices and BarleyMax. By removing the fiber BEFORE putting the food into the body, we are able to bypass the digestive process. Thus these concentrated nutrients can go directly to cellular level without loss or energy drain. When we juice, over 90 percent of the nutrients reach cellular level as compared to less than 35 percent reaching cellular level after going through the digestive process. We also found that the diet was very low in fat and vitamin B12, and so we added a teaspoon of Pharmax Fish Oil for omega 3’s, DHA, and EPA, and a vegetarian source of B12.
How To Begin The Hallelujah Diet
There are two ways to begin the Hallelujah Diet – ‘cold turkey’ (I prefer the term ‘cold carrot’) or slow changes over a period of time. ‘Cold carrot’ has proven to be the easiest and most effective way for the majority of people to transition onto or go on the program. When a person goes on the Hallelujah Diet ‘cold carrot’ there is anywhere from a few days to a week or so of potential detoxification – maybe experiencing a mild headache, some nausea, fatigue, pimple outbreak, diarrhea, etc. However, the majority of the people do not experience any negative detoxification symptoms. Thus, usually quite quickly the person is on the other side, already experiencing increased energy and physical improvements. These rapid improvements become the motivation for a person to stick with the program. Making slow diet changes and slowly moving into the new diet is usually traumatic because each time we put into our body an addictive food (sugar, animal product, white flour products, caffeine, etc.) the body craves more of that additive substance. This causes a yo-yo effect and people often become discouraged because they are attempting to improve their diet but not experiencing the desired results. So as we enter the New Year, 2015, I trust that many of you, who have not as yet made the transition from the Standard American Diet (SAD) to the Hallelujah Diet, will join Rhonda and me as I enter my 39th year on the Hallelujah Diet. Rhonda has been on the Hallelujah Diet for 23 years. During these past 39 years on the Hallelujah Diet, I have recovered from colon cancer 39 years ago and a hemorrhagic stroke 12 years ago. During these past 39 years, I have not experienced a cold, sore throat, upset stomach, the flu, or been sick a single day. Rhonda has experienced these same results for 23 years. In a few short weeks I will turn 81 years old, I am still experiencing a strong and healthy body, and I don’t have an ache or a pain any place in my body. And I attribute my excellent health to that simple decision I made to change my diet at the age of 42. Perhaps for years you have played with the idea of making the diet change to the Hallelujah Diet... Why not make this diet (lifestyle) change your 2015 New Year’s resolution?
