How To Prevent A Stroke

Dr. Russell Blaylock in the July 2014 issue of The Blaylock Wellness Report had a very interesting article on the subject of stroke. Dr. Blaylock starts his article by saying, “Diet and exercise are essential, and the main way to prevent strokes and treat blood pressure.” I concur, I believe “Diet and Exercise” are also essential, and the main way to overcome a stroke and high blood pressure. With me, it was 13 years ago, on July 12, 2001, that I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke while at the platform lecturing during a Health Ministers Training session at Hallelujah Acres. During the month prior to the stroke, I had travelled to South Africa where I had delivered seven “How to Eliminate Sickness" seminars in six days to an average crowd of 700 in the largest cities in South Africa. During that trip I had been in the air, flying from city to city and across the ocean twice. The cause of the stroke I believe was stress. As I was repeating myself while lecturing and seemed disoriented, I was rushed to the local hospital in Shelby, North Carolina where I was diagnosed with a bleed on the brain - a hemorrhagic stroke. The doctors immediately wanted to introduce intravenous drugs into my body and airlift me to Charlotte for cauterization of the bleed. In order to treat me, they needed permission. I wasn’t in a state of mind to give them permission, so they turned to my wife Rhonda for that permission. She knew that I hadn’t had a drug in my body in 25 years and she was afraid the drugs would kill me – so she refused any treatment. The doctors continued to try to get her to give them permission, but she continued to refuse, until the doctors gave up trying and they ordered me out of the hospital and to be taken home in an ambulance, which they did. At home, by stretcher they placed me in my bed and Rhonda had to sign a slip that I had arrived home alive. After the ambulance left, Rhonda immediately put me on the Hallelujah Acres Recovery Diet of either a BarleyMax or a fresh glass of vegetable juice alternating every hour. By the next morning my mind was starting to return and it continued to return. She also made sure that I went for a walk often. Approximately one week after the stroke she took me to a neurologist for a checkup and evaluation. The neurologist had my hospital records in front of him as he questioned me. Soon he exclaimed – “YOU ARE A MIRACLE!” He went on to say that half of the people who experienced a stroke such as I had experienced died, while the remaining percentage are left with physical or mental limitations. After only a week following the stroke, I was still alive and with no physical or mental limitations. As I said earlier in this article, I experienced that stroke 13 years ago this past month. Since then I have been following Dr. Blaylock’s advice for the prevention of a stroke – and recovery from a stroke. It has worked very well. The stroke occurred at the age of 67 and I am happy to report that I am now over 80 years of age and still I have no lingering limitations either of a physical or mental nature from the stroke – thanks to the Hallelujah Diet, BarleyMax, and a daily, vigorous exercise program. Dr. Blaylock also said in his article that in addition to diet and exercise, the supplements of magnesium and curcumin were powerful in protecting the brain from a stroke. I take both of these supplements daily to help prevent another stroke along with my vegan Hallelujah Diet and a vigorous exercise program.
