Veggie focused smoothies are an adventure. Think outside the box. Such as adding a Brussels sprout or two. Cruciferous vegetables contain sulfur-containing compounds that change to isothiocyanates (ITCs) when they are chopped, chewed or blended. These phytochemicals help to remove, carcinogens from the body. So drink up!


2 celery ribs
1 ½ cups Romaine lettuce
2 large Brussels sprouts
1 cup water
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
3 Tbsp. cilantro
¼ of your favorite orange, peel and seeds removed
¼ avocado, peel and seed removed


1. Blend all ingredient in a blender until a smooth consistency
2. Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy.
