Where did sickness originate? This is a very important question! Because if we can determine where sickness originated, it shouldn’t take us very long to determine its cause. And once we determine that all we will need to do is eliminate the cause and sickness will become a thing of the past.
Friends, let me repeat - if we can eliminate the cause of disease, then there would no longer be a need for doctors, drugs, health insurance, or even National Health Care, except in the event of injury from an accident.
Therefore, shouldn’t our time, talents, and monies be spent in seeking the origin of disease rather than seeking better and more expensive ways of treating it?
, whether organically raised or not , are not only hazardous to our health, but also the primary cause or contributing case of almost every physical problem people experience today, in both the Christian and non-Christian communities.
This warning has gone unheeded by most. As a result, there has been a rise in the number of people — both inside and outside our churches — diagnosed with fatal diseases, experiencing life-threatening illnesses, and suffering from numerous other physical problems continues to rise.
Eliminate the consumption of animal source foods from your diet and you eliminate almost any fear of ever experiencing not only cancer, a heart attack or stroke, but also Type 2 diabetes, arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, asthma, sleep apnea, snoring, heart burn, acid stomach, allergies, and asthma. The list goes on and on and on.
My dear Christian friend, when you pray over the food you are about to eat, do you really believe that spiritual prayer causes God to come down and miraculously remove the physical sugar and cholesterol and other harmful substances contained within or prevent them from harming your beautiful God made physical body? Rather God issues a warning to us all in this passage from the Bible:
Possessing Health Insurance Does Not Guarantee Health
I personally have not carried health insurance for the past 37-plus years. That may sound like an irresponsible thing to do, but there are several reasons for my not carrying it: The first reason is because I have personally found a way to eliminate sickness within in my body. The second reason I don’t carry health insurance is that I know that so-called health insurance is extremely expensive, provides no insurance, and really has absolutely nothing to do with health. Think about it: Health insurance doesn’t kick in as long as a person remains in health. All it does is help offset the huge costs involved in a person’s attempt to recover from illness. It should really be called a “Disease Care” policy, not health insurance. Having a health insurance policy doesn’t insure that you will stay well. It doesn’t prevent heart attack, stroke, cancer, or the other common causes that are killing us today. Can you imagine a day when rather than dying of a disease, people simply died of old age? Well, Scriptures tell us that this is exactly how God’s people lived and died during the first 17 centuries of biblical history. And can you guess their ages at time of death? If you check on the ages of the Patriarchs at death, you will find their average age at death was 912 years, with Methuselah living to the ripe old age of 969 years. (See Genesis 5:27) That’s the way God intended man to leave this world! I find it all so very interesting! It is also interesting to note that these long-lived people did not die from cancer, heart attacks, strokes or any other disease. Well if they didn’t die from these diseases, what did they die from?It was old age, my friend, simply old age. These early saints of God, rather than dying while lying in a hospital bed on oxygen, with dangling IV’sand a ‘health’ regimen that includes massive amounts of drugs...rather than being wired to monitors with nurses scurrying about, all creating huge medical bills needing to be paid for by so-called “health insurance...rather than this enduring a terrible ordeal, they simply laid down and went to sleep at a ripe old age. “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians, 5:8) Wow! Now that is the way God intended each of us to leave this world! And though we no longer can live those extended years as the patriarchs did, God did tell us that He would allow us to live 120 years (See Genesis 6:3).How is This Possible?
In order to understand how such a thing could be possible, we need to go back to the beginning of human life, and to the God who created man. Then we must ask the question: “Did God, the Creator of man, design man to be sick?” Was sickness and disease a part of God’s plan for His human creation? My answer to that question, and I believe you will agree, is, “absolutely not!” God would not and could not do such a thing. It would be totally out of character for Him. Also, would God create anything that was not perfect? Of course not, and the Bible tells us he did not. (See Genesis 1:31) The next question to logically follow then becomes: “Why and where did sickness originate?” To that question some might answer, “I know why; it was because Eve ate of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden and then gave it to Adam and he ate it, too. That’s how sickness entered the world.” But that answer can’t be accurate, because there is not a single recorded instance of sickness in the Bible until after the flood which occurred nearly 2,000 years after creation. In fact, in searching the Scriptures, I find no recorded instance of sickness occurring until after 1706 B.C. That was the year the children of Israel went into captivity in Egypt and started eating the flesh of animals presumably on a regular basis, something the Egyptians had obviously been doing for a long time prior to their arrival. But even then, though we see sickness being experienced by the Egyptians, there’s no indication of sickness occurring among God’s people. Consider what God said concerning the Israelites' health after they had left Egypt:“If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians....” (Exodus 15:26)As God was bringing the children of Israel out of Egypt, they expressed great unhappiness in God’s provision. And what was the cause of that unhappiness? God was NOT providing them with the FLESH they had been consuming while in Egypt. This unhappiness is clearly evidenced by what they had to say to Moses and Aaron as they journeyed out of Egypt:
“And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness... And said unto them, ‘Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”Exodus 16:2-3Now this gets really interesting.Around the year 1490 B.C., some 800 years after the flood, and some 2,500 years after the eating of that forbidden fruit, we find the first recorded instance of sickness occurring among God’s chosen people. And what was the occasion of that sickness? We find the answer recorded in Numbers 11. It is in this chapter we learn that while God was still the dietitian, providing the Israelites their daily sustenance (manna), as we have already seen in Exodus 16:2-3, and during their 40 years of wilderness wandering, the following occurred:
“And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord . . . And the mixed multitude that was among them fell a lusting and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, who shall give us flesh to eat? But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, besides this manna, before our eyes.”Moses then intercedes to God for the people:
“When should I have flesh to give unto all this people? For they weep unto me, saying ‘Give us flesh that we may eat’ And the Lord said unto Moses, ‘Say unto the people...the Lord will give ye flesh and ye shall eat. Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days, but even a whole month, untilThe Bible continues...it comes out of your nostrils, and becomes loathsome to you...”
“And there went forth a wind from the Lord, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side (24 miles), and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high (3 feet) upon the face of the earth. And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails...” “And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the Lord was kindled against the people, and the Lord smote the people with a very great plague... And he called the name of that place Kibrothhattaavah: because there they buried the people who lusted.”Am I saying that the very first instance of sickness recorded in the Bible among God’s chosen people was possibly because the people were not happy with God’s provision of manna? That is certainly how it appears, isn’t it? And what was manna?
“... manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium...white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.” (Exodus 16:31 & Numbers 11:7)Manna was food made by God and provided by Him for the nourishment of the Israelites during their 40 years of wandering in the wilderness. But the Israelites did not appreciate God’s provision and as a result suffered greatly. Man is such a slow learner! And sadly today, God’s people are still not satisfied with the nourishment God provides in the garden foods He commanded us to eat in Genesis 1:29. As a result we experience sickness today as did the Israelites in biblical days.
Let’s Go Back to the Garden
“And the Lord God planted a garden eastward of Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.”(Genesis 2:8) Immediately after creating this first human (Adam), God placed His perfect human in the perfect garden He had created, and then we read:“And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food . . . .” (Genesis 2:9)And here is how God instructed Adam:
“God said, Behold, I have given you every herb (vegetable) bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat (food).” (Genesis 1:29)In this verse I believe God the Creator gave His human creation a natural LAW regarding what was to be proper nourishment for the human physical body God had created. And in this verse it is clearly evident that God intended humans to consume only the foods that come from the plants God created and placed in the Garden. After consuming a 100% plant based diet for 1,700 years, we see where God allowed man to consume the flesh of the clean animals on the ark in Genesis 9:3.What was the reason for the change in diet? Was the Genesis 1:29 diet no longer adequate to nourish the human physical body or is there another reason? I believeGenesis 9:3, when God allowed man to consume animal flesh, was intended to be a one-time event. And what was the reason for this one-time event? The Great Flood. Flood waters had covered all garden foods, and for survival purposes, God allowed the flesh of animals to be consumed until the plant foods were once again available. Clearly, the eating of animal flesh was not God’s intent when God gave instructions to Adam in Genesis 1:29, but once man got the taste of flesh in Genesis 9:3, he couldn’t leave it alone. The results were terrifying to behold. For vivid evidence of what happened after the introduction of flesh food, notice that in just ten generations, man’s lifespan drops from 912 to 110 years. (See Genesis 50:26)
Over 20 Years of Warning Has Gone Unheeded
For the past 20-plus years, I have been warning that all animal source foods“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man (or women) soweth, that shall he (or she) also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)We cannot and must not pass that responsibility on to another whether it is a doctor or God! We are each accountable and responsible for our own health. (See Romans 12:1-2) Our health has practically nothing to do with God or the doctor or whether we have health insurance or not. Rather, it has everything to do with how well we nourish and exercise our body. Almost every one of us has total control over our own wellness. So please my dear friend, heed this warning! Your health and longevity, along with that of your family, depend on you eliminating animal source foods from your table. I have been a vegan since 1976. And as I approach my 80thbirthday after not having consumed anything of animal origin for the past 37 years, I have a strong and well physical body. You can have the same! All you have to do is answer this question: Will you eat the foods of the Garden as God intended and be healthy, or will you ignore His perfect design and eat animal flesh, and let disease into your life? You know the choice I made in 1976; now it is your turn. I hope your choice is a healthy one. Trust you will join us again next week for another exciting issue of The Hallelujah Health Tip!
