What is Estrogen Dominance?

Estrogen dominance is the medical term to describe an imbalance of estrogen and progesterone levels. It is often caused by monthly cycles without ovulation, which begins to happen to many women in their late 30s and 40s, just before they hit menopause. The signs and symptoms of estrogen dominance differ among individuals and as such, the condition is different for everyone. To learn more about how estrogen affects the body, and what you can do, read Ann Malkmus' blog post here.
