The Hallelujah Diet is comprised of 100% Genesis 1:29 foods. They are all plant-sourced foods with the majority of these plant foods being consumed in their natural and raw uncooked form as they all were in God’s Original Genesis 1:29 Diet.
The Hallelujah Diet consists of approximately 85% raw and 15% cooked plant-based foods, with the 15% cooked food portion usually being consumed at the evening meal.
We do not worry about the percentages being exactly 85% raw and 15% cooked, and thus there is no counting of anything on the Hallelujah Diet. This makes the diet extremely easy to follow.
Please note... Children are an exception to the 85/15 raw to cooked ratio
Children are very active and require more carbohydrates to support this activity levels. Therefore the ratio of raw foods, to cooked plant sourced foods for a child, should be approximately 50% raw and 50% cooked.Breakfast On The Hallelujah Diet
We begin the day with breakfast. At this meal we break the fast the body has been in since the evening meal of the previous day. This overnight fast is where breakfast got its name, “break-fast”. The number of hours the body has been on this fast varies by individual, but is usually around twelve hours – half of a 24-hour day. A high percentage of those fasting hours have been spent in sleep. During those sleeping and fasting hours the body has been in a cleansing and detoxifying mode, accumulating the previous day's toxins (in preparation to remove them), in addition to repairing, rebuilding, recharging, and prepping the body for the coming new day’s tasks and activities. As we arise, the first thing the body usually wants to do is eliminate the toxins accumulated during the night's fast. This is accomplished by releasing the urine and feces that contain these toxins. This cleansing and eliminating continues for a time after arising if not stopped by eating difficult-to-digest food too soon. A heavy morning meal — such as bacon and eggs, pancakes and sausage, cereal and milk, toast and coffee, grits, sweet rolls, bagels and cream cheese and the like — slows and may even stop the body’s natural cleansing and eliminating efforts. Instead, the body diverts its energy from cleansing and eliminating to digestion. Some will say that we need a big breakfast in order to obtain energy for the day, but the above listed typical breakfast items are not real food, yet they must still go through the digestion process, while no potential energy from them can be released for many hours. Everything we put in our mouth, whether healthy or unhealthy, must go through the digestive process. Some of those listed non-food items will take until almost noon to be digested, so these items do not give quick energy but actually take away energy. In order to break the fast gently and not hinder cleansing and elimination, on the Hallelujah Diet, the first item we place into our body in the morning is a teaspoon of BarleyMax. It can be consumed dry and allowed to dissolve in the mouth, or it can be placed into 4-ounces of distilled water. BarleyMax does not dissolve well by stirring, but does mix well in a shaker cup or using a small battery powered blender. BarleyMax provides the body with immediate nutrition and energy and because it contains no fiber, requires no digestion, and thus gives the body almost instant energy. And because it requires no digestion, the cleansing and eliminating is allowed to continue. Our research reveals that BarleyMax is quite possibly the most nutritionally dense raw plant-sourced food available today. It is also the very first food Rhonda and I place into our bodies each and every morning, almost immediately upon arising. For a moment I want to explain what BarleyMax is and why it is the first thing we consume each and every day:What is BarleyMax?
BarleyMax is a raw, dehydrated juice from organically grown young barley and alfalfa grasses. It provides one of the widest spectrums of naturally occurring nutrients available in a single source. Our manufacturer sets a new industry standard by utilizing a proprietary dehydration process which is capable of dehydrating juice to a powder with minimum degradation of color and enzymatic loss. Here is what we love about BarleyMax:- It is a raw, plant-sourced food.

The Grass Juice Factor
Learn more about the enzyme activity of BarleyMaxStudies of just how grass juice powders like BarleyMax affect the human body began in the 1920s when Dr. Charles F. Schnabel noticed that cereal grasses improved the health of chickens more than other green vegetables. The strange, beneficial effect became known as “the grass juice factor”, described in a book by author Ronald Seibold. Some have suggested that the grass juice factor may be a flavonoid, but science has yet to explain the synergistic effects that create such remarkable health benefits.
