Why So Many Babies Die In The U.S.

Dr. Frank Shallenberger, in his "Second Opinion" Health Alert Newsletter dated November 12, 2014 had the following to say regarding why “More babies die in the U.S. than in most industrialized countries”: The United States has the best health care system in the world, right? That’s what I hear all the politicians and talking heads telling us. But how do they answer this? The third leading cause of death in the U.S. – after cardiovascular disease and cancer – is the treatments that our doctors administer. And it doesn’t stop there. A recent study links our routine medical therapies to why we have one of the highest infant death rates in the world. The rate at which babies die is called infant mortality rate or IMR. A country’s IMR is considered to be one of the most important indicators of the socio-economic well-being and public health conditions of that country. So where do you suppose the U.S stands in terms of IMR? Number 1? Or Number 2? Guess again. We are an extremely embarrassing number 34! Virtually every civilized country in the world has a better IMR than we do. Even Cuba beats us. But why? Clearly it’s not because we are an impoverished nation with poor socio-economic status. It must be something we are doing. And that something appears to be vaccines. The U.S. childhood vaccine schedule specifies all infants less than one year old should have no less than 26 vaccine doses during their first year in this world! That is the most vaccine doses that any country in the world gives to its babies. And yet our IMR is one of the worst in the world. Clearly our pathetic IMR is not due to a lack of vaccines. But might it be due to an excess of vaccines? To answer this question researchers recently looked at the vaccine schedules for all of the countries that have a lower infant rate than we have. They were looking to see if there was any correlation between how many vaccines they inject into babies and how often they died. What they found was scary. They grouped the U.S. and the 33 nations that fare better than us into five different vaccine dose ranges: 12-14, 15-17, 18-20, 21-23, and 24-26. Then they calculated the average number of infant deaths of all the nations within each group. You are not going to like what they discovered. The analysis showed “a high statistically significant correlation between increasing number of vaccine doses and increasing infant mortality rates.” The more vaccines a country gives to its babies, the more often those babies die! The government and Big Pharma keep telling us that vaccines save lives. This study shows rather graphically that at these doses just the opposite is the case. And that’s not all. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “The relative position of the United States in comparison to countries with the lowest infant mortality rates appears to be worsening.” It’s not only incredibly bad now, it’s getting worse. And what’s the response we see from our medical system its more vaccines. What is going on? The people of the United States spend more on health care than any other country in the world. And yet we are not getting the results we’re paying for. Some countries have IMR’s that are less than half the U.S. rate. These include Singapore, Sweden, and Japan. And guess what? They use vaccines far less than we do. So what’s our excuse? The excuse we hear most often is that there are more premature births in the U.S. than in most countries. For example, premature births in the United States increased more than 20% between 1990 and 2006. And preterm babies have a higher risk of complications that could lead to death within the first year of life. However, according to a 2009 report in the National Vital Statistics Report, this does not fully explain why the United States has seen little improvement in its IMR since 2000. But the vaccine schedule does. The top five countries with the lowest IMR’s all have one thing in common. They give their babies less than 12 vaccines in the first year of life. As I’ve said many times, the toxicity of anything is in its dose. No matter how good a natural or pharmaceutical substance may be, there is going to be a dose at which it is toxic. The controversy surrounding vaccines and whether or not they are good or bad is far too expansive for me to get into in a newsletter format. But I believe one thing is clear. The current dose of vaccines that we routinely inject into our babies here in the United States is excessive and dangerous.
