In last week’s Health Tip we began looking at arthritis with these words:
“Let’s conduct a little contest in this Health Tip regarding Arthritis. In one corner we are going to place the “wisdom of this World” and in the other corner the “wisdom of God”.By the time we reach the conclusion of this Health Tip, I will let you dear reader, be the honest referee who determines which corner wins the contest.”We concluded last week’s Health Tip by saying that iwe want to win the battle against arthritis, we must stop spending money seeking new drugs to mitigate pain, swelling, and suffering, and rather seek the CAUSE of arthritis – because if the CAUSE of arthritis can be determined and that CAUSE eliminated, we have found the cure for arthritis. What is that CAUSE? The answer is a very simple one – arthritis sufferers are consuming a diet and pursuing a lifestyle that is creating their arthritis! By simply changing diet and lifestyle, arthritis can be prevented and in most instances eliminated. This statement has already been proven to be true by multitudes of arthritis sufferers. So if the CAUSE of arthritis has already been determined to be improper diet and lifestyle, wouldn’t you think the Arthritis Foundation would be using their research billions documenting this fact and disseminating that information to arthritis sufferers? They're not. Instead, the Arthritis Foundation is doing everything they can to turn suffers away from that information. Need proof? Here's what the Arthritis Foundation has to say regarding the relationship of diet to arthritis:
“The truth about diet and arthritis may surprise you. It is simply this: There is NO special diet for arthritis. No specific food has anything to do with causing it. And no special diet will cure it.”This statement by the Arthritis Foundation in the late 1970’s condemned millions of arthritis sufferers seeking a cure to continue suffering unnecessary. Agonizing pain and the horrible side effects of pain relieving drugs caused thousands to die prematurely, while billions of dollars continued to be spent annually for ineffective medical treatments. Regarding the failure of the Arthritis Foundation to reveal the link between diet and arthritis, Dr. John McDougall, a medical doctor, had the following to say:
“The failure of the Arthritis Foundation, and almost every rheumatologist (arthritis doctor), to encourage people to try a change in diet first, might be forgiven if there were effective alternatives, like medications. Unfortunately, the most high-tech, modern medications available today never cure arthritis, are relatively ineffective at even moderating the progress of the disease, have serious, and sometimes fatal side effects, and can cost more than $10,000 a year to take. “Compare these facts to the results from a change to a low-fat, pure vegetarian diet, which often cures arthritis with no side effects, reduces food bills by about 40%, and without a doubt, has many other health benefits (less cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and always relieves constipation). “If you are bold enough, next time you have the opportunity, ask an arthritis ‘specialist’ for a single scientific study (not just someone’s opinion) that shows diet fails to help people with arthritis – then compare their response with the evidence . . . Do your part and tell your suffering friends there is help for people afflicted with most forms of inflammatory arthritis. It is cost free (and profit free) and a lot easier than spending a miserable life in a wheelchair.” (Source)
Why Has A Cure For Arthritis Not Been Found?
I hate to have to say this, but it is quite obvious to me that modern medicine (including the Arthritis Foundation) is not looking for a cure! In fact when you read what the purpose of the Arthritis Foundation is, you find not a word about the Foundation seeking a CURE for arthritis. Following is their purpose:“The Arthritis Foundation offers medical advice, physician referrals, a drug guide, books, brochures and more resources to help make living with arthritis easier. It also publishes the award-winning lifestyle magazine, Arthritis Today. Through local offices nationwide, the Foundation sponsors exercise classes, as well as a variety of year-round events to raise funds and create awareness, from local walks and runs to dinners, galas and other affairs.”Why does the Arthritis Foundation not state as its goal “finding a cure for arthritis?” The answer is quite obvious! If a cure for arthritis was acknowledged and disseminated, there would be no need for an Arthritis Foundation, and all those employed by the Arthritis Foundation would be out of a job. Also, if a cure for arthritis were found, the medical coffers would lose roughly $322 billion that is currently spent in the treatment of arthritis annually. Not to mention that the $12 billion spent annually on arthritis research would be lost as well. Friends, when dealing with disease the “world’s way”, using the “world’s wisdom,” we need to realize that many of those involved in the research and treatment of these diseases are not involved for altruistic purposes. Rather, we need to follow the money trail – who is profiting from the treatment and research of the disease?
What Is The Cause Of Arthritis?
In order to find a cure for arthritis (or any other disease) we must divert our efforts from treating the disease to seeking the CAUSE of the disease! No one has ever overcome arthritis through the use of drugs or surgeries! Mitigating symptoms will never cure arthritis. Ask any arthritis sufferer if modern medicine has cured them. The official position of the Arthritis Foundation is that diet and arthritis are not related. Rather than placing their research efforts and dollars looking into this relationship, virtually all research monies have gone into the testing of drugs to relieve symptoms.Research Reveals Amazing Results
In his book ‘Diet For A New America’ John Robbins writes:“At Wayne State University Medical School, there were a few medical researchers willing to investigate the heresy that diet might have something to do with arthritis. They put six rheumatoid arthritis patients on a fat-free diet. The results were startling. In seven weeks, all of the subjects showed total disappearance of their symptoms. When fats were reintroduced into their diets, it took only three days for symptoms to reappear.” “In 1981, the British Medical Journal reported another instance that suggests the Arthritis Foundation’s conclusions might be premature. It involved a 38-year-old woman, who for 11 years had been suffering from steadily worsening rheumatoid arthritis. Three weeks after doctors removed all dairy products from her diet she showed signs of improvement. In four months, her arthritis symptoms had completely disappeared. She remained free of symptoms until, in the interest of scientific curiosity, she once again ate some cheese and milk. The next day her joints were swollen, stiff and painful. Fortunately, her symptoms again disappeared as she resumed her abstinence from dairy products.”In his book 'Proof Positive' author Neil Nedley, M.D. writes:
“Arthritis and other bone and joint disorders are among the leading causes of disabilities in America. Current estimates from the U.S. Centers of Disease Control are that these diseases afflict some 40 million Americans. . . “Scandinavian researchers placed individuals with severe rheumatoid arthritis on a total vegetarian diet for an entire year. After a single month on this dietary program, they analyzed the patients and found a decreased number of tender and swollen joints. Their grip strength was better. Furthermore, their problems with severe joint stiffness in the mornings had improved. . . Perhaps most importantly, the patients on the vegetarian diet felt better—by actual measurement on a health assessment questionnaire.”If you suffer with arthritis, won’t you please CHOOSE to at least consider a change in diet and lifestyle? The Hallelujah Diet has already made it possible for hundreds of others suffering with both osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as gout arthritis, to live a pain free life! In Deuteronomy 30:19, God tells us: “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live.” A Bible verse found in Hosea 4:6 echoes this sentiment: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” The innate wisdom God programmed into our bodies, is always working toward wellness. Our body is constantly trying to keep us alive and well despite our foolishness by placing harmful substances into it. Our body is always trying to correct any imbalances it finds within and sends us warning signals when it can’t fix the problem without our help. In the case of arthritis, the body cannot fix the problem as long as that person continues to consume foods high in animal fat and protein, the cause of arthritis. Thus it signals there is a problem with pain. Pain, a symptom, is a warning signal being sent by our body to inform us of an internal problem. Our country’s medical system tries to cover up the symptom (in the case of arthritis – pain) with drugs. Drugs do absolutely nothing to eliminate the cause, but rather deal only with the symptom. This keeps the sufferer dependent on the medical system for the rest of their life... while their quality of life continues to deteriorate. Friend, there is a better way than the “World’s Way” of dealing with arthritis, and it’s “God’s Way!”
Rhonda's Debilitating Arthritis Disappears
When Rhonda (my wife) attended one of my earliest “How to Eliminate Sickness” seminars back in 1991, she was so stove up with arthritis she was almost crippled. She couldn’t turn her head half an inch in either direction, couldn’t walk a block without extreme pain, and had to soak in hot water each morning just to obtain enough loosening of her joints to partially function. She often took 4-6 ibuprofens an hour in an effort to try and keep the arthritic pain at a tolerable level. Prior to attending that seminar, Rhonda was accustomed to consuming large amounts of both animal flesh and dairy products, including cheese. When she heard me say that animal source foods were the primary CAUSE of arthritis, she immediately became interested in my theory, but remained a skeptic. Desperate for relief from the pain and debilitation associated with her arthritis, Rhonda says she made the diet change just to prove me WRONG, while quietly hoping that it could help her.
