How We Contribute To Our Own Physical Problems

Animals in the wild follow the instincts God placed within them when He created them. Thus an animal in the wild knows by natural instinct programmed into them by God, where to go to obtain the nutrients necessary to sustain life immediately upon birth. Do they not instinctively seek out mother’s milk supply without any help from man? And after these wild animals are weaned, do they not know instinctively and by mother’s example, and without mans help, what to eat in order to sustain life? We call them dumb animals, but they are far wiser than we humans when it comes to how to nourish and maintain their God created physical bodies.

Man's Natural Instinct is Gone and He Has Forgotten What God Said

Adam and Eve not only had this natural instinct programmed into them by God at creation, but God also told them what they should consume for food in Genesis 1:29. Sadly, over the years this natural instinct has been programmed out of man by this world’s practices and teachings. And sadly, man has long ago failed to take head to what God said should be consumed for nourishment in Genesis 1:29. As a result, almost every physical and even psychological problems we humans experience during our entire lifetime, other than accidents, is caused by the placing of wrong food or drink into our body, and mans failure to realize that the physical and emotional problems being experienced are merely the body reacting to that wrong fuel. If this be true, what can the doctor do to help us when we experience these breakdowns? If the problems we are experiencing are caused by wrong food and drink, can these problems be corrected by placing more contaminants into the body in the form of drugs (poisons)? Or rather will not these additional contaminants produce more problems? And if the problem is caused by bad fuel, will radiating (burning) the offending part or removing the part surgically restore health? With that as an introduction, let’s see if we can determine what part we have been playing in the creation of the physical and psychological problems we have been experiencing. We will also learn why others get sick – including the doctors we go to for body repair – the nutritionists who tell us what we should eat – the pastors of our churches who are concerned about our spiritual welfare – and yes, even the members of our own church and family. Friends, everyone in today’s society gets sick except those who have gone back to taking heed to what God told them they should eat to properly nourish their physical bodies in Genesis 1:29. May what follows inspire you to return to nourishing your body with the foods God told us we should nourish our bodies with.


“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” In context these words of Jesus was dealing with the spiritual, but I want to use this text to share another truth, only this truth is concerning the physical. What follows is truth that can set you free from most every physical and emotional problem you are experiencing. I am about to reveal here the cause of almost every physical and psychological problem people experience during their entire lifetime. Being sick is not fun! Nor do most people find it an enjoyable experience going to the doctor, taking prescription drugs, and paying money in an effort to get rid of those pesky or sometimes life threatening physical problems. I will show you how you can usually quite quickly and inexpensively regain your health. In III John 2 we learn that God wants us to “BE IN HEALTH”. Here is what the bible says in III John 2:

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
In other words, God wants us to be as well in our physical body as we are in our spiritual soul. So let’s discount it being God’s fault or desire for us when we get sick. So if God wants us to be in health and we now know that is true, why do we humans get sick? The answer to that question is found in Proverbs 26:2 where we read “so the curse causeless shall not come.” Every curse of sickness has a “cause” – so let’s start looking for the cause of the physical and emotional problems we experience, rather than simply trying to suppress the symptoms of these problems. WHAT WAS GOD’S ORIGINAL PLAN FOR THE NOURISHMENT OF MAN? To ascertain the cause of our physical problems, we need to go back to chapters one and two of the book of Genesis and see if we can find the answer to that question:
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the Lord God planted a garden eastward of Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for FOOD . . . .” (Genesis 2:7-9) “AND GOD SAID, behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat .” (Genesis 1:29)
According to Scriptures, man’s diet in the Garden of Eden and for the next 1,700 years after man was expelled from the Garden, consisted of the 100% raw plant-sourced foods (fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts) found in the garden that God had told man he was to consume in Genesis 1:29. During the 1,700 years following God’s instructions, following this exclusive Genesis 1:29 garden foods diet, man lives to an average age of 912 years (age of Patriarchs at death) without a single recorded instance of sickness. But then comes the flood and here is what the Bible tells us happened to all the garden foods man had been instructed by God to consume and man had been consuming for the previous 1,700 years.
“And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth: and all the high hills that were under the whole heavens were covered.” (Genesis 7:19)
Because all garden foods had been destroyed by flood waters, God gives man permission to deviate from that Genesis 1:29 diet for the very first time since He had created man. And what does God allow man to consume?
“Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you even as the green herb have I given you all things.” (Genesis 9:3)

I believe God allowed the consumption of this clean animal flesh for survival purposes only. But was that flesh the nourishment God had designed the human physical body to be nourished with, or did God just allow man to consume the animal flesh for a brief period of time to sustain life until plant foods would once again be available? SICKNESS RESULTS WHEN MAN LEAVES GARDEN FOODS So, what are those substances I have been preaching against for the past 18 years and have personally abstained from? What are the substance that when eliminated have made it possible for tens-of-thousands to recover from their physical and even psychological problems? I’ll name the single most dangerous and destructive substance consumed first: ANIMAL SOURCE FOODS (Number one cause of sickness) Once man began to consume the flesh of animals, sickness begins to occur and man’s lifespan begins to drop dramatically from an average age of 912 on the 100% plant based diet to 110 years in 10 generations after the consuming of animal flesh began. (See Genesis 6:50 the last verse in Genesis: “So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old . . . .”) Research and the testimonies of tens-of-thousands who have written me over the past 18 years reveal animal sourced foods are the single most dangerous and destructive substances we can place into our physical bodies. They are the cause of some 90% of all the physical problems being experienced by mankind today. Following is just a partial list of the physical problems being experienced today that are caused by the consuming of animal sourced foods: heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Irritable Bowl Syndrome (IBS), diverticulosis, diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, colitis, ulcerative colitis, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, heartburn, acid stomach, and the list goes on and on. And if you would like scientific documentation as to why animal sourced foods are the cause or contributing cause of the majority of the physical problems being experienced today, let me encourage you to read The China Study, by Dr. T. Colin Campbell. Dr. Campbell has done more research on the relationship of diet to disease than any other researcher in history – over 50 years of research. And he concludes his findings as succinctly as possible by stating: “only small intakes of animal products were associated with significant increases in chronic degenerative diseases.” ANIMAL FAT CAUSES CLOGGED ARTERIES, HEART ATTACKS AND STROKES The likelihood of a person who never consumes animal sourced foods ever suffering a heart attack, stroke or clogged arteries is almost zero. Yet almost everyone who consumes animal sourced foods has some degree of narrowing of their arteries caused by fat build up in their arteries. In fact, they are finding that children who consume animal sourced foods by the age of four are already showing fat build up on their arteries, and autopsies of 18 year old soldiers who died on the battle field reveal arteries already to be as much as 50% blocked. WHERE IS ALL THAT ARTERY BLOCKING FAT COMING FROM? Did you ever purchase a whole chicken from the meat section of your grocery store? Did you ever notice when you opened the back end of that chicken the huge hunk of fat that was sitting there in the cavity? Did you think you were getting rid of all the fat in the chicken when you threw that big glob of fat away? Friend, a chicken breast, with skin removed and then broiled, still contains some 20% fat. Did you ever purchase a steak or hamburger from the meat section of your grocery store? Did you ever notice the fat that oozed out of it as you cooked it? Did you think that you had gotten rid of all the fat when you poured it down the drain of your kitchen sink? Well think again, because a high percentage of that fat remained in the steak or hamburger when you ate it. WHERE DOES THAT INGESTED FAT GO Just like the excess fat you pour down your drain will eventually clog up your sewer system and hinder the sink drainage, the fat that remains in these animal foods will eventually clog up your arterial system and hinder the free flow of blood throughout your body. This blood is called “the life of the flesh”in Leviticus 17:11. When fat is ingested, much of it ends up in your blood, and it doesn’t all leave your blood. Rather, some of this fat remains in the blood and starts clinging to and building up on the arterial walls, hindering the blood flow. This hindered blood flow causes the heart to have to pump harder to push the blood through those narrowed arteries, resulting in high blood pressure. The primary cause of high blood pressure is the hindering of the free flow of blood through the arteries.


When high blood pressure is detected by the doctor, does the doctor advise the patient to stop consuming animal sourced foods (the cause of the problem) as a way to lower blood pressure OR RATHER does the doctor prescribe a drug to chemically lower that high blood pressure? And does that blood pressure medicine correct the cause of the high blood pressure; or rather does that drug simply suppress the symptom? Obviously the drug doesn’t correct the problem because the doctor tells that person they will have to continue to take the drug to keep the high blood pressure suppressed for the rest of their life. And if that person taking the drug continues to consume fat laden animal flesh, the arteries will continue to narrow and eventually become so clogged with fat that such surgeries as by-pass and stents often have to be employed. A by-pass is where they by-pass the fat clogged section with new piping. A stent is used to force open the fat clogged artery to allow blood to flow past that clogged area. But what folks don’t realize is that by-pass or stent doesn’t resolve the problem, because if they continue to consume fat laden animal foods, the fat will continue to build up and additional stents and by-passes are often necessary. And the conclusion of all that fat build up, regardless of how much blood pressure medication a person takes or how many stents and by-passes a person receives, that person usually ends up dying of a heart attack or stroke, if cancer doesn’t kill them first (another problem usually caused by the consuming of animal sourced foods). And to think that all of this high blood pressure, drugs to lower it, stents, by-passes, and early and untimely deaths due to a heart attack or stroke could have been easily prevented if that person had not consumed those fat laden burgers, steaks, chicken, and other fat laden flesh. And let’s not forget the animal fat in dairy products. In fact, one of the most dangerous fat laden substances you can place into your body is cheese.

The single most dangerous and destructive substance: Animal Source Foods (Number One Cause of Sickness) Abundant research and the testimonies from tens of thousands who have written me over the past 18-years reveal animal sourced foods are the single most dangerous and destructive substances we can place into our physical bodies and are the cause or contributing cause of most of the physical problems being experienced today. Following is just a partial list of the physical problems being experienced today that are caused by the consuming of animal sourced foods: heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), diverticulosis, diverticulitis, crones disease, colitis, ulcerative colitis, cancer (colon, prostate, breast and more), diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, heartburn, acid stomach, gout, and the list goes on and on. There are four primary reasons animal sourced foods cause the above listed problems: (1) Animal sourced foods are dangerously high in fat content; (2) are highly acidic; (3) dangerously high in protein; and (4) putrefy in the intestinal tract. Animal Fat Causes Clogged Arteries, Heart Attacks and Strokes In Health Tip #648we learned that it is the fat in animal source foods that are the primary cause of high blood pressure, clogged arteries, heart attacks and strokes. We also learned that by simply removing animal source foods from our diet we can almost always eliminate any fear of high blood pressure, clogged arteries, heart attacks and strokes. In Health Tip #648 we also learned that drugs, stents and bypasses are incapable of stopping this build up of fat in the arteries, the cause of these problems, if we continue to consume animal sourced foods. The likelihood of a person who never consumes animal sourced foods ever suffering with high blood pressure, a heart attack, stroke or clogged arteries is almost zero. Yet almost everyone who consumes animal sourced foods has some degree of narrowing of their arteries coming from the fat contained in those animal sourced foods they consume. In fact, in vegan groups around the world, heart attacks, strokes, clogged arteries, and high blood pressure are almost unknown.

Acid in Animal Foods Cause Acid Stomach, Osteoporosis & More

We want to deal with all the acid found in animal source foods: Multiple millions of people around the world suffer with GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease), commonly called acid reflux and/or heartburn. These people suffer daily with pain and discomfort which often affects their quality of life. For many, this suffering has made their life so miserable some have told me they wanted to die. When a person goes to a doctor suffering with GERD or acid stomach or heartburn what does a doctor usually prescribe for these conditions? Is it not prescription drugs such as Pepsid, Protonix, Nexium, Zantax or another antacid drug? Or perhaps in milder cases it is an over the counter drug like Tums or Rolaids. Do these antacid drugs ever cure the problem or rather do these drugs simply suppress the symptom, while the problem continues and often worsens, leading to new problems developing, which often lead to not only more suffering, additional drugs, but sometimes even surgeries?

The Tragic Story of Cathy’s Experience with Antacids

Let me share with you the true story of a young mother by the name of Cathy, who came to me recently for help. She had been treated for a year and a half for what the doctor initially thought was an acid stomach problem. In the December 2008, experiencing stomach pain, Cathy goes to her doctor. Not running any tests to determine what was causing her stomach pain, the doctor prescribes Protonix, a drug designed to “manage erosive acid reflux”. Not long after starting to take this drug, she developed a rash on her hands. Some of the potential adverse reactions listed in the PDR (Physician’s Desk Reference) for Protonix include allergic reactions, rash, constipation, depression, vertigo, etc. In May 2009, still suffering with stomach pain her doctor sends her to a gastroenterologist who once again runs no tests to ascertain the cause of her stomach pain, stops the Protonix and prescribes another antacid drug: Nexium. The normally prescribed dosage of Nexium is 20mg daily, but this doctor tells her to take 80mg daily. Following are some of the potential adverse side effects listed in the PDR for Nexium: abdominal pain, diarrhea and headaches, along with numerous others. Her stomach pain intensified, so has an endoscopy. The endoscopy shows no significant problem and the doctor tells her to continue taking 80mg of Nexium daily, a drug remember that at 20mg daily has a potential adverse side effect of abdominal pain.

In June 2009, after experiencing rapid weight loss and severe lower stomach pain she stops the Nexium on her own. In October 2009, Cathy is admitted into the hospital for suspected intestinal blockage. A CT scan and colonoscopy revealed multiple fistulas. Because fistulas are associated with Crohn’s disease, she was diagnosed as having Crohn’s, and prescribed the prescription drugs Flagyl and Cipro, antibacterial drugs “formulated to chemically suppress Crohn’s symptoms”. Flagyl is designed to “reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and only to be used to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria.” The list of potential adverse side effects from this drug in the PDR is long and scary, and there “have been some reports of breast and colon cancer developing in Crohn’s disease patients who have been treated with Flagyl”. Cipro is an antibiotic with another long list of potential side effects including: “nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headaches, rash,” etc. In fact, the potential adverse side effects from this drug cover a whole page. In November 2009 her doctor sends her to an urologist who orders a cystoscopy. The cystoscopy revealed a fistula near the bladder and told her she needed to immediately see a surgeon for surgical removal of the fistula. The surgeon not only tells her she needs to have immediate surgery, but also prescribed a new drug, Humira. She refused the surgery but did start taking the prescription drug Humira.

Humira is used to “reduce the signs and symptoms of moderate to severe Crohn’s disease . . . . and prescribed for those who have not responded well to conventional drug treatment”. Of this drug we learn from the PDR the following: “Patients treated with Humira are at increased risk for developing serious infections that may lead to hospitalization or death. Serious infections have happened in patients taking Humira…Some have died from these infections. Humira may also increase the chance of getting lymphoma or other cancers… hepatitis B, blood problems, heart failure, and new or worsening psoriasis.”

On April 1, 2010, due to continuing pain and deteriorating health, and after being under a doctor’s care and doing everything the doctors had told her to do for over a year (except for the surgery which she refused), and after spending tens of thousands of dollars, Cathy decided to take her health into her own hands, by stopping all doctoring and drugs. The first thing Cathy chose to do after stopping all drugs and doctoring, in a desperate effort to improve her health, was simply change what she had been eating and start exercising. Stay tuned – and please pray for Cathy as she attempts to undo the damage done by all those drugs! Cathy’s husband has joined her in this diet and lifestyle change, and is doing all he can to help and encourage her.

Cathy’s experience going the medical route with her stomach pain is a classic example of what this editor has been saying for a long, long time – “That there has been no improvement in the way physical problems have been dealt with by the medical community for the past 2,000 years or the results obtained, in spite of all the money that has been poured into so-called health care, especially in recent years.” Following is what the Bible says were the results of going the medical route with a physical problem 2,000 years ago, and as you read it, see if you can detect any improvement in the results people obtain going the medical route then, compared with the results people obtain going the medical route for physical problems today.

“And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse.” (Mark 5:25-26)

Isn’t it amazing how what was written in the Bible 2,000 years ago concerning the experience a women had going the medical route for a physical problem in Bible days, so accurately describes the results Cathy obtained going the medical route for her physical problems this past year!

Is There A Better Way to Deal with Stomach Pain than Antacids?

Stomach pain can have numerous causes, but one of the big causes of stomach pain is too much stomach acid being produced after years of consuming animal source proteins and then the antacids taken in an attempt to neutralize that excess acidity. All animal source foods are high in protein, require a very acidic stomach environment for digestion, and leave an acid ash upon digestion that negatively impacts the blood’s alkaline pH. As the body starts to experiencing discomfort as it reacts to this excess acid, people start trying to reduce or eliminate the discomfort by taking a prescription or over the counter antacid drug. Do these antacid drugs correct the problem; or rather do they simply suppress the symptom while often exacerbating the problem? Here is something a lot of people don’t understand about stomach acidity: The stomach environment must be highly acidic in order to properly digest protein, but excess acidity in the stomach will cause problems. Now while most of the body requires an alkaline environment in order to sustain optimal health, the stomach requires a highly acid environment in order to properly digest a meal that is high in animal protein. When a person takes an alkalizing antacid in an effort to neutralize the large amounts of acid being produced to digest the animal products, it often over compensates by overly neutralizing the stomachs acidity, making it impossible for the body to properly digest foods. This lack of sufficient acidity causes more stomach pain and additional problems because now the stomach cannot properly digest foods.


pH and the affect acid foods have upon our bone structure and how these acid foods cause osteoporosis (low bone density). To better understand pH, let’s look at a few facts concerning acidity and alkalinity before we go any further:

The pH scale runs from “0” (extremely acid) to “14” (extremely alkaline). A pH of 0-6.9 is acid; 7 is neutral, 7.1 to 14, is alkaline. Each unit increases by the factor of 10. To neutralize 1 part of acid requires 10 parts of alkalinity. Everything we place into our mouth in the form of food, drink or drug, has either an acidifying or alkalizing effect upon the body’s pH (acid/alkaline balance). Some body fluids must be kept acid for proper digestion (i.e. stomach fluids), while other body fluids must be kept alkaline (i.e. blood). Thus it is important that all body fluids maintain proper pH (acid/alkaline balance). Maintaining proper pH in all body parts and functions is not difficult if we eat the 100% plant based, predominantly alkaline diet God told us to eat in Genesis 1:29. But if we eat those acidifying foods found outside a plant based diet, potential for problems and great harm arise.


All flesh foods are highly acidic – beef, pork, chicken, and fish (including salmon). All dairy foods are highly acidic, with cheese being the most acidic). Refined sugar is highly acidic. Beer has a pH of 3.9 – 4.2 pH) and coffee a pH of 4.7 (both extremely acidic). Chocolate has a pH of 3.7, one of the most acidic things one can consume next to soft drinks, which have a pH ranging from 2.3 to 3.5, so acidic it eats away tooth enamel. Almost all drugs are acidic. Most grains are acidic – especially wheat and wheat flour products.


Almost all plant sourced foods leave an alkaline ash and thus have an ALKALIZING effect on the body. Barley Grass is one of the most alkalizing foods. Other alkalizing foods would include avocados, beets, carrots, all greens, almonds, and sunflower seeds, and even flax oil. A few plant foods leave an acid ash – blueberries, cranberries, plums, prunes, some nuts, seeds, and legumes.

Since all substances placed into the mouth have a pH value, it is easy to see how various food and drink items either acidify or alkalize the body and thus have a dramatic effect upon our health, digestion, blood, life, and longevity. Few people realize that if the pH (the acid/alkaline balance) of the blood drops below 7.0 and (into the acid range), the body becomes first catatonic, then comatose, and then the person dies. Interestingly, if the body’s pH rises above 7.45 it can lead to excessive alkalosis and even death if not quickly corrected. Maintaining proper blood pH is essential for keeping us alive and well on planet earth.


Our body’s primary responsibility is survival – that is keeping us alive. Thankfully, that’s the way God designed us and usually works quite well without our help. But in order for the body to keep us alive and well it must have our cooperation. The very foundation of our life is the blood that courses through the arteries and veins of our body. Concerning this blood, the bible has the following to say in Leviticus 17:11:


As we have already learned above, if the pH of the blood drops below 7.0, or into the acid range, we die. In order to keep us alive, the body is constantly striving to keep the bloods pH in that alkaline range and if the body does not have our cooperation in this, it must take that responsibility into its own hands and do the very best it can under the circumstances to keep that blood alkaline at all times lest we die. Everything we eat, following digestion, leaves either an acid or alkaline ash. As we learned above, almost all plant sourced foods, especially deep green leafy vegetables, have an alkalizing effect on the body. While all animal sourced foods leave an acid ash after digestion, as does refined sugar, many grains, and all drugs (though they don’t go through the digestive process).


If we consume a plant based (alkaline) diet, the diet God told us we should consume in Genesis 1:29, the pH of the blood is kept automatically in the alkaline zone. But when we consume a highly acidic diet, a diet containing lots of animal sourced foods, refined sugar and acid grains, the body has to find a way to neutralize all of that acidity in order to prevent the bloods pH from dropping into the acid zone which would cause our death. When a person continues consuming all of these acid foods, and taking into their body all those acid producing drugs (all addictive drugs, including sugar, alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, are highly acidic), the body has got to find a way to neutralize all of that acidity. So what does the body have available in order to perform this task? The answer is – “alkalizing minerals”. The most alkalizing of all minerals found within the body, in greatest quantity, is calcium. So the body, in an effort to neutralize all the acidity we are placing into it, starts drawing calcium from the bones (99% of all the calcium in the body is found in the bones). As calcium is drawn from the bones, it begins to make the bones porous (a thinning of density process), thus causing what we call osteoporosis.

This removal of calcium from the bones is a slow process, but over time, if the person continues consuming a highly acidifying diet, the bones thin, often resulting in a person falling and breaking a bone, or possibly a bone will just break for no apparent reason. Probably the most feared of this bone thinning process called osteoporosis are hip fractures. Fractures of the wrists and even vertebrae are also related to osteoporosis. In America, over 70% of all the fractures occurring in people over the age of 45 are caused by osteoporosis (low bone density). In fact, some 1.3 million osteoporosis related fractures occur in the United States each and every year. In 1995, the annual medical cost for osteoporotic fractures among those over the age 65 was 13.8 billion dollars. However, in addition to cost, these fractures, especially hip fractures, can significantly decrease quality of life and often set into motion a rapid deterioration of health leading to death. And to think that if only that person had not consumed all those acid foods and drugs, and rather consumed a plant based (Genesis 1:29) diet, along with some resistant and weight bearing exercises, this type of problem would never have occurred.

When the medical community sees that the body is losing bone density, rather than looking for what is causing the body to lose this density, the medical community tells the patient they need to increase their calcium intake. But increasing calcium intake will not fix the problem because increasing calcium intake does not deal with the root cause of the problem. The dairy industry tells us that we must consume more calcium rich dairy foods to keep our bones strong to prevent osteoporosis. But what they don’t tell us is that because of the acidity of the dairy, the body will excrete more calcium from the bones than it takes in from the dairy. Nor will the taking of calcium supplements improve the problem. In fact, the inorganic calcium found in these calcium supplements can lead to the building of stones in the kidney and gallbladder along with this calcium joining with cholesterol to form plaque and hardening of the arteries. Anyone who has ever had a kidney or gallbladder stone and had it analyzed knows that the stone is almost always comprised of predominantly calcium.

Osteoporosis can be prevented and low bone density even reversed by a simple change in diet and lifestyle. However, in order to prevent osteoporosis or further bone thinning, a person must realize that only they have the power to make it happen. Following are things a person must do if they desire a strong, high density bone structure.

Change your diet from a high animal based, sugar laden diet, to a 100% plant based diet. All high protein, acid forming foods should be totally eliminated and replaced with a highly alkalizing diet such as The Hallelujah Diet. The most alkalizing foods are your green leafy vegetables and cereal grasses. For instance, a cup of kale contains 179 mg of calcium; turnip greens 249 mg; collard greens 357 mg. Include in each day’s activities a time for stretching, resistant, load bearing and aerobic exercising. I have been on this alkalizing diet for over 30 years. I personally try to include all of these exercises into my busy schedule each and every day of my life. Make sure to get abundant sunshine or else take a vitamin D3 supplement, because the body cannot utilize calcium, no matter how much is in the body if it does not have adequate vitamin D required to absorb the calcium. I personally take 5,000mg of vitamin D daily, plus try to get as much sunshine on my body each day as practical.

The Hallelujah Acres diet and lifestyle because it consists of almost 100% plant based alkalizing foods, promotes daily exercise along with sun exposure and vitamin D supplementation, not only prevents thinning of the bones but will also help restore osteoporotic bones to hardness. At the age of 73, I fell from the top of a six foot ladder, breaking the fall somewhat with my arms, while my head (left eye and forehead in particular) landed full force on a landscape railroad tie, and I broke not a bone. Can you imagine what would have been the result of that fall at the age of 73 if I had not previously been on the alkalizing Hallelujah Acres diet? Just recently, at the age of 76 as I was walking backward pulling a hose, I tripped over something and fell backward very hard. Nothing broke! There was no pain! I just got up, dusted myself off and continued walking backward pulling the hose, only being a little more careful to look behind me to prevent another fall. But friends, I have no fear of falling while many people my age and some lots younger have a great fear of falling. As a boy, my mother used to say to me from time to time – “You are what you eat.” But it has only been in recent years that I have fully understood the implications of what mother was saying.
