Hallelujah Acres Announces Gastonia Grand Opening of Health and Wellness Store and US Headquarters
Gastonia, NC June 13, 2013 - The health and wellness (or lack thereof) of Gaston County residents has been at the forefront in local, state and national media recently. Now there’s a Gastonia-based company that is doing something about it and providing a significant amount of economic development for the community.
Early this spring, Hallelujah Acres relocated their United States headquarters to a 13,000 sq. ft. facility at 916 Cox Road. The front of the building has been outfitted to include a retail store now open to the public. To celebrate the grand opening of the Hallelujah Health and Wellness Store, the store will host an event-filled celebration on Friday and Saturday, June 28–29, 2013. The ribbon cutting, in cooperation with the Gaston Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with special guests and activities taking place on both days. The Hallelujah Acres Health and Wellness Store was created to help customers better understand the benefits of a healthy, vegan-friendly lifestyle and to learn easy tips to incorporate better choices into their diet. “Our goal is to be your source for all-natural plant-based products and your resource for diet and nutrition. We’re much, much more than just a vitamin or health food store,” says Store Manager Lisa Smith. “We want to actively serve our community by helping them stay active and live healthier!” A unique feature of the Hallelujah Acres Health and Wellness Store is that many of the products are specifically created by Hallelujah Acres and are not found in other stores in the Gaston or surrounding markets. The store offers fresh, organic produce; raw and vegan foods made fresh by the store’s own chef; exclusive supplements and vitamins; chemical-free cosmetics; restaurant-quality juicers and blenders; and free, raw juice samples of Hallelujah Acres’ own barley grass juice products (BarleyMax®) and Kangen ionized water. The store also offers free, healthy living classes, and staff members have specialized training to help customers tailor their choices according to their diet and lifestyle — vegan or otherwise. “Scientific research shows that an all-natural approach to eating is one of the best ways to ward off illness and disease,” says Paul Malkmus, President/CEO of Hallelujah Acres. “We were not created to just take a pill to feel better. We want to share our expertise and experience to help every person begin their own individual journey to good health and a balanced life, and Hallelujah Acres is the place to start, with great products and healthy living programs.” A representative of the Gaston Regional Chamber will be in attendance to lead the ribbon cutting ceremony. John Kimbrell, President/CEO of the Gaston Regional Chamber, says “Winston Churchill once said that ‘healthy citizens are the greatest asset any country can have. Hallelujah Acres Health and Wellness Store is exciting for Gastonia’s future; having a company here that is dedicated to helping empower people through healthy diet and lifestyle can only help our city grow stronger.” The grand opening celebration will run from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Guests will be able to take advantage of 20% off specials, a FREE stainless steel water bottle and reusable shopping bag for the first 500 customers, along with free refreshments and samples. In addition, two radio stations will be broadcasting on-location: WBAV 101.9 on Friday from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. and WSOC 103.7 on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
