Dear Rev. Malkmus, As one of the persons who began the Hallelujah Diet the first of January 2003, I must tell you of my progress to date. I had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia almost a year ago and had tried every medication and treatment that the doctor had to offer.
I work full-time as a corporate receptionist for a large company in Greenville, SC, and like my job very much. However, after taking the medical route, including every drug available, without success, for my Fibromyalgia, I was getting ready to resign my job because the pain was becoming unbearable, and I felt I could not fight it any longer. I had also gained weight and had IBS. I am only 47 years old, and had been very active before the diagnosis, so I also became severely depressed because I had no energy and could not do anything.
I was on a website for Fibromyalgia when I first learned of the Hallelujah Diet. It was listed as a possible treatment and so I found the website for Hallelujah Diet. What I read really made sense to me and sounded like it was something I needed to try. I discussed this with my doctor at that time, and his remark was, Well, I have never had a patient cured by any diet, but sounds healthy, so give it a try. That was in December of 2002. I made the diet change in January.
The first week was horrible. I had read on your website that this normal as the toxins were being discharged from my body, so I stuck it out. After the end of the second week, I noticed a change in the pain. It wasn't as intense and my energy seemed to increase a little. After a month, the IBS was totally gone, and I had lost about 12 pounds. At the end of February, I told the doctor how much better I was feeling, and that I was not taking any pain medication, not even an aspirin! He was amazed, and told me that I didn't need to see him again, unless I needed him.
I am still taking physical therapy, which helps keep my muscles from getting stiff, but my mobility has increased so much that they will be cutting back from two sessions per week to one. I have now lost a total of 30 pounds, and the pain is almost gone. I have not even had a headache or upset stomach since January and my energy level is so much better. Needless to say, the depression is also better because I feel so much better.
Also, I have always suffered from seasonal allergies and would lose my voice several times every year. This year is supposedly the worse allergy season we have had in years, and I have not even had a sniffle! Everyone at work is amazed and they are asking me what I have done to look and feel so much better. I, of course, give my testimony regarding the Hallelujah Diet, and I have given your website to many! I even had a lady with Fibro call me, from another town, after learning about me through word of mouth. She wanted to know all about the diet. She had tried everything, as I had, medically, and suffered for years. How good it made me feel to pass on the wonderful news that there is a cure for her too. Thank you so very much, you are truly a blessing!
