So I guess when I started the Hallelujah Diet my main reason was to lose weight, but also I wanted to have a healthy body so that I could enjoy retirement. After one year on the Hallelujah Diet, here are the results of my change of lifestyle: I have lost 46 pounds, dropping from 212 to 166, and now weigh less than I did in high school. But not only that, my outlook on life has changed dramatically. I now look forward to doing things and have a very positive outlook on life. Mentally I am much more alert and my memory is so much better.
Before the diet change I had a tendency towards depression, not wanting to do anything. Now I feel great all the time and have more energy than I ever had before. My indigestion and frequent bouts with sinus problems, allergies, head colds and sore throats are all gone. Blemishes on my skin are also going away. Lastly, I haven't used a deodorant since last April. I can exercise, play golf, work in the yard, etc., and not have any body odor.
It has been a great year. We received Health Minister training in March 2000. We are really excited about the ministry! We have been sharing the lifestyle with our family, friends, church family, and anyone else who will listen. Both of our daughters' families are on the Hallelujah Diet, as well as my 86-year-old mother. I believe the Hallelujah Diet has prolonged her life and allowed it to be enjoyable. She had congestive heart failure and her lungs were periodically filling up with fluid. After attending Health Minister training I got her on the Hallelujah Diet and off the five killer foods. She has regained her strength and is feeling great. She has been able to get back to doing things she hadn't been able to do--such as driving her car, working two days a week, and going to a swimming pool five days a week for aerobic exercises. Like the Energizer Bunny, she just keeps on going, and going, and going.
