I personally have overcome many health challenges using this approach. Among the diagnoses I had received were anemia, esophageal reflux, spastic colon (irritable bowel syndrome), polyps, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and mitral valve prolapse. I had also experienced digestive and blood sugar problems, severe migraine headaches (complete with vision disturbances, numbness throughout my left side, and extreme pain), severe fatigue and chronic pain, and a very bad case of candida yeast overgrowth.
Before making dietary changes I had come to the place that I was no longer able to care for myself, much less my family. The symptoms associated with all of these problems have completely gone away (and have been gone for years) using this approach to better health. I am now not only able to care for my family, but also home school my children and operate a successful teaching ministry.
Additionally, my son has overcome ADHD and my children have not had need to see a doctor in over eight years. The Lord has blessed us mightily! I began utilizing the principles taught by Hallelujah Acres before I ever knew that there was such an organization. The Lord led me to apply the exact same principles to my own life. As I did, I began to get well for the first time in twelve years of battling health problems through the medical route.
We have been very diligent and dedicated to applying the principles of this lifestyle approach for the past 3.5 years and spent several years prior to that in transition. My husband and I have researched and educated ourselves concerning nutritional needs (both for our children and ourselves) and through nutritional analysis have been able to determine that these are being met. This information has come through a great deal of personal study. Until more is known about the B-12 issue, we are supplementing this essential nutrient (due to information provided to us by Hallelujah Acres). We get plenty of essential fatty acids in our diet (readily available in a vegan raw food diet).
My children get plenty of easy-to- convert complex carbohydrates to supply their energy needs. All other known nutrients are being met in our diet (both in meeting our own needs as well as the special nutritional needs of our children). I've done the research myself and there are no nutritional 'holes' not being filled (based on current nutritional knowledge and dietary analysis). As an intelligent woman (God's wisdom, not my own) who deeply loves my kids, I've left nothing to chance.
