I was diagnosed with breast cancer twice the first time in 1996, three months after the death of my husband. At that time I was a 41 year old widow with a 7 year old little boy. I was hysterical, and told God 'I can't die too, my son needs me!' Well the surgeon did a lumpectomy and said he had 'gotten it all and that I didn't need chemotherapy or radiation, and thus I felt safe and was very happy.
I had always been 'weight conscious.' Always worked out and tried all the diets. I owned a ladies exercise and health club and wanted to help as many women as possible. I also taught ladies how to eat properly. I taught them to stay away from all the poisonous 'whites' white flour, white sugar, white rice, white bread and white pastas.
I taught them to eat only lean meats and skinless chicken, turkey, and fish, and never to fry any foods. I taught them to use whole grains, to switch to sweet potatoes rather than eat white potatoes, and to use a natural sweetener like Stevia. I thought I was doing everything right to stay 'healthy.' I was wrong!
On November 7, 2007 I was diagnosed with breast cancer again, and in the same breast. I couldn't believe it! Here I thought I was doing everything right. I had been cancer free for 11 years, and then wham, I got it again and it was even worse this time. I didn't understand and I was devastated.
The first time I heard of Hallelujah Acres was in the year 2000. At that time, my Cousin Danielle's one year old boy had been diagnosed with cancer. He had surgery and through the grace of God, Danielle refused chemotherapy for her son, and put him on The Hallelujah Diet. Today, he is a healthy 9 year-old.
In the year 2000, Danielle had shared The Hallelujah Diet with me, but I didn't understand the importance of eliminating all meat and dairy from my diet. I had been brought up thinking that meat is your protein and you needed milk for strong bones. So I had continued to eat chicken and fish, not realizing that chicken and fish contain all the cancer promoting protein red meat does.
After my second bout with cancer in 2007, I had a partial mastectomy. Then when one of my friends found out I had cancer she ran to her car and gave me a copy of The Hallelujah Acres magazine. She then went on to tell me that her mother was healed of a stomach tumor after adopting The Hallelujah Diet.
I went home, read the magazine, got on line and found the date of Rev. Malkmus' next seminar. It was December 2, 2007, just 18 days after my surgery. I told my husband and mom and dad that I wanted to go to this seminar. After listening to Rev. Malkmus, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I needed The Hallelujah Diet for complete healing. I told my husband this and he agreed with me.
At the seminar we learned all the things I should not eat if I wanted to recover from cancer or avoid it in the future, and learned that all animal sourced foods were especially dangerous. So when we got home we went through the kitchen and removed everything Rev. Malkmus said I shouldn't eat, and went to the Health Food store and bought all the things I should eat.
I was very strict on this diet, and didn't care what anyone said. Soon I was feeling wonderful and had lost 25 pounds. My doctor had wanted me to do chemotherapy and radiation and take a cancer pill for 5 years. I simply said 'No' to all he wanted me to do. I said: 'This is my body and I'm not going to put drugs and chemicals into it.'
I have completed the 'Get Healthy, Stay Balanced course, and spent a week at the Hallelujah Acres Lifestyle Center in Lake Lure. My desire now is to become a Hallelujah Acres Health Minister so that I can help as many people as possible. People need to be taught how bad the SAD diet is and shown how they can regain or maintain their health by applying Biblical principles.
Thank you Father for letting me learn of this wonderful Hallelujah Lifestyle! And thank you, Rev. Malkmus, for all your wisdom and knowledge and teachings. Because of you I have my health and life back. I thank God for you!
