Looking for something to serve on a cold evening that doesn't take but 10-minutes to prepare? Then look no further. Rhonda served me this dish the other evening and I thought it worthy of sharing with our readers:
Ingredients
1/4 cup chopped red peppers
1 can (15 oz.) vegetarian baked beans
1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans (drained)
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon dried onions (fresh chopped onion could be used)
1 tablespoon molasses
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
Directions
Place all ingredients in a saucepan. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly heated (10-minutes). Serve with a nice salad. A veggie burger could also be served with the beans and salad. (Increase/decrease molasses and pure maple syrup to satisfy taste buds.) ENJOY!
