Cheese made from cow's milk is enjoyed by many because they like the flavor of cheese. Unfortunately, cheese made from cow milk is one of the most dangerous things you can eat. Cheese made from cow's milk is high in saturated fat and salt, increasing risk of cardiovascular problems. But there are dairy-free cheese substitutes that are allowed on raw vegan diets for special occasions!
These substitutes are made from rice and almonds.
(We discourage the use of soy cheeses, as well as all other soy products because they are too high in protein and contain lots of estrogen.)
