“Rev. Malkmus, Thank you so much for your commitment to being a disciple with a focus on giving knowledge to the world. The health knowledge that you provide has helped me to change my diet and lifestyle. I trust your information, and need your advice concerning my knees. The doctor wants me to have knee replacements. I am afraid to have the surgery and have chosen not to have the surgery. Are there some nutritional supplements you can recommend that would help rebuild the cartilage around my knees? I do believe the body can heal itself if we give it the nutrients it needs to perform the task.” Joyce S.

Joyce, there may be a number of underlying factors that have contributed to the deterioration of your knees to the point your doctor wants to perform knee replacement surgery. If you are not already on The Hallelujah Diet, getting 110% on the diet and lifestyle would be the first and most important step if you want to avoid surgery. Second, making sure to include the omega 3 fatty acids from flax seed oil, flax seed, and Pharmax fish oil to help with the underlying inflammation is very important. Insuring the blood levels of vitamin D are at least 50 ng/ml, but optimally 80 ng/ml, is vitally important. Insuring there is adequate magnesium in the diet so that the calcium in the diet can be utilized efficiently is also very important; consume an abundance of green leafy vegetables – both raw (blended in green smoothies), and cooked. To assist your dietary efforts, Hallelujah Acres has recently introduced a new Joint Health supplement that both relieves and rebuilds joint tissue and cartilage for improved joint function and mobility. As you are no doubt aware, we here at Hallelujah Acres believe that almost every physical and psychological breakdown within the body can be reversed if we will but stop eating and drinking those things that created the breakdown in the first place and then give the body the building materials it need in order to heal itself. We have received a number of testimonies from people who were able to avoid knee replacement surgery after making the diet and lifestyle changes we teach. Our website includes testimonies from people who experienced improvement in their knees after changing their diet and lifestyle. Here is one of them:
Dear Rev. Malkmus, I am 80 years old. Eight years ago both my legs gave out and I fell down. I was taken to the emergency room, put on crutches, and told to see an orthopedist. The orthopedist said I had bone on bone, told me I needed knee replacements of both knees, and sent me home on crutches. I did not have the recommended knee replacements and finally ended up in a wheelchair. Then my sister told me about The Hallelujah Diet, we bought a juicer, and together went on The Hallelujah Diet cold turkey. Within about 2 or 3 weeks of beginning the diet, the pain in both knees was gone! I started exercising, lost 25 pounds, and started walking - very gingerly at first - and am now doing fine. I get along very well with my doctor if he doesn't interfere with my diet of which he says 'just keep on doing what you are doing.' Rev. Malkmus, you are such an inspiration to me.” Ida
