Rev. Malkmus Speaks In His Home Church

The state of health of the people in our churches today is deplorable; as a result prayer requests for the sick within the congregation dominate prayer requests. Christians are just as sick as non-Christians, experiencing the same physical problems to the same percentages. These conditions ought not be so! Reaching the church with God’s health message has been my passion — ever since I was able to heal myself of colon cancer through a simple diet and lifestyle change 37 years ago. In every church Rhonda and I have been members of in the previous 20 years, we have attempted to make God’s health message known. In some churches, we have been successful to a greater extent than in others. Ever since Rhonda and I joined our present church over a year ago, we have been attempting to share God’s health message, but you cannot accomplish this by trying to force people to accept it.

The state of health of the people in our churches today is deplorable; as a result prayer requests for the sick within the congregation dominate prayer requests. This approach usually turns people off and is not appreciated by the pastor. Knowing this, we have used a very gentle approach. First, we lived it as a witness to our fellow brothers and sisters, trusting our testimony would attract others without having to say a word. When we attend senior functions (I am a year from my 80th birthday and Rhonda is 67) we don’t eat the same foods they eat. This often provokes conversation and gives us opportunity to share why we eat differently. Our seniors have a weekly exercise class that I attend. There they can see my muscular body, how excellent my health is, and how well I can perform the exercises at nearly 80 years of age. We are in a large church that has two services each Sunday morning with over 800 people in each service. Over the past year, we have seen a senior couple in our church not only adopt The Hallelujah Diet, but attend Health Minister Training as well. An assistant pastor, who ministers to the senior saints, has adopted The Hallelujah Diet and experienced significant improvement in his health. The church's business administrator has also adopted The Hallelujah Diet, while another assistant pastor, before Rhonda and I came on the scene, lost significant weight through diet and lifestyle change. While most people think we Christians who have changed our diet and lifestyles are weird, some begin to ask questions and become interested in learning more after a while. They usually begin by asking questions like: “Why do you eat different? Why do you walk so much? Why don’t you get sick like the rest of us?” Well after a year in our new church, some of the seniors in our church (as well as others) wanted to know more. The assistant pastor, who is on The Hallelujah Diet and responsible for the senior saints in our church, asked me if I would do a “God’s Way to Ultimate Health” seminar at a special senior luncheon on January 10th. Rhonda was asked to prepare the meal. On that day, I had opportunity to share God’s health message with the senior saints in our church, while they had opportunity to experience just how tasty one of Rhonda's healthy meals could be. It was a tremendous success with 52 men and women present. I spoke for about an hour and a half and then, while they were eating, answered questions for almost an hour. Interest was outstanding and many expressed interest in getting on the diet. One of those attending the seminar suggested that, in the future, we should provide a table with healthy food at our church fellowship meals. What Rhonda and I have been praying for, for over a year, has finally become a reality! Where it goes from here only God knows, but our goal is that all those prayer requests for healing — that dominate the prayer requests in our church — be turned into praise reports as the people in our church experience the restoration of their health as a result of hearing God's health message!

How About You In Your Church?

If you are on The Hallelujah Diet, are you seeking to help those in your church recover their health? The Bible says: “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” It also says: “How shall they hear without a preacher?”

Upcoming Seminars

On Saturday, January 19, starting at 10:00 am, Rev. Malkmus will present his “God’s Way to Ultimate Health” seminar at the Rinker Auditorium at Stetson University, 421 N. Woodland Blvd., Deland Florida. Each family attending the seminar will receive a free copy of our 32-page healthy living guide, “Living the Hallelujah Diet”. This magazine-style publication contains all the information needed to understand why a diet change is necessary if a person desires to improve their health, as well as how to achieve that improvement. In addition to the free seminar and free publication, at the conclusion of each seminar a prize drawing will be held for free books, including a copy of “Rhonda’s Culinary Creations,” Rhonda Malkmus’ new recipe book. There will also be a question and answer session so that you can ask Rev. Malkmus questions. These seminars will be held throughout the year at various locations in the southeastern United States. If you live in the southeast, watch for a location near you. These popular sessions are usually attended by 200 or more people each month. Often, folks will fly in from various locations across America and sometimes from around the world to attend these three-hour seminars. Here's where Rev. Malkmus is heading to next:
