Thus far in the month of May, we have had over 10 inches of unbelievably heavy rain here in St. Augustine, Florida. This past Friday, when we left Florida for our “God’s Way to Ultimate Health” seminar in Warner Robins, Georgia, we were hoping that we wouldn’t have to drive through more rain for the 5-hour trip... but that wasn’t to be. When we arrived Saturday morning at the Ramada, where the seminar was to take place, the meeting room had 300 seats set up and everything was ready... but would people come on such a nasty, rainy morning? Well, much to our surprise, people started arriving before 9:00 a.m. and kept coming and coming! By the time the seminar began at 10:00, we had about 200 in attendance - and they continued to fill the room until about a half hour into the seminar! At 10:00 the seminar began with guests sharing their testimonies of what improvements they had seen in their health as a result of adopting The Hallelujah Diet & Lifestyle. The very first testimony was from a gentleman who shared that, as a result of making the diet change, he was off 22 different medications, was no longer diabetic, and had lost 75 pounds in less than a year! Several dozen other testimonies of restored health were reported - cancer gone, arthritis gone, others reported diabetes gone, a childless couple was able to conceive, energy restored, along with numerous reports of weight loss. These testimonies, at the start of all my seminars, set the stage for the information that follows. The seminar lasted for two hours and then we had almost another hour of questions and answers. Those attending were very responsive. From numerous “amens” to laughing and clapping, this crowd was on fire! Of course, for a Baptist preacher like myself, it's always encouraging to know that people are listening, comprehending, and responding. :) After the seminar was over, we drove the 5 hours back to St. Augustine in, you guessed it – rain all the way. At times the rain was so heavy that some people were stopped on the side of the road. We arrived home Saturday evening, thanking the Lord for safe travel and rejoicing that, in spite of the rain, we had a good turnout and the people who attended appreciated our efforts. I am still amazed that at nearly 80-years of age I can still drive 5 hours in heavy rain (without glasses) on Friday, deliver a three hour seminar Saturday morning, and then, after the seminar, drive 5 hours through blinding rain, and arrive home not even fatigued. I am convinced that if I was not on The Hallelujah Diet & Lifestyle I could not do that! My next seminar will be in Easley, South Carolina on June 1, beginning at 10:00 a.m. This seminar will be held in the Rock Springs Baptist Church (201 Rock Springs Rd.) in Easley, SC! This should be a very well attended seminar, so come early! Tuesday Evening, May 7, I will teach the Third Lesson of my Biblical Nutrition 101 class in my church, Turning Point at Calvary in St. Augustine, Florida, where Rhonda and I are members. For the first two lessons we have averaged over 150 in attendance and interest in the class has been unbelievable. Wednesday, May 8, Rhonda and I will drive 7 hours to Charlotte, North Carolina where, on Thursday evening, I will have the privilege of speaking at our annual Health Minister Conference. This event is always an exciting time as we have opportunity to visit with so many of our friends from across America and around the world. Thursday, May 9, I will be spending most of the day visiting our new Hallelujah Acres international headquarters in Gastonia, North Carolina, visiting with our staff and attending several meetings that are scheduled for that day. Then that evening, as mentioned above, I will speak at the Health Minister Conference. Over the past 21 years, I have driven hundreds-of-thousands of miles, and flown hundreds of hours, taking God’s health message across the world. Thus far, God has given safe travel! Please continue to pray that the Lord will not only protect us as we travel, but that the Lord will give wisdom as I try to slow down the pace I have been on these past many years. I wish to remain in God’s perfect will for whatever remaining days He has for me on this earth. I want so desperately for everyone to know that they “Don’t Have to Be Sick”, but I am also looking forward to having some time to slow down and smell the roses for a while before I make my final journey home to be with Jesus. Rhonda and I love and appreciate all those who have stood with us through the years, who have encouraged us, and prayed for us! To all of you, we say THANK YOU!
