Can Diet Affect Elevated PSA Numbers?

Men, there's no need to fear elevated prostate levels. The answer is in front of you at every meal!
Rev. Malkmus, My husband has an elevated PSA number. What kind of diet would bring these numbers down? Any information that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for all of the good work that you do. May God bless you!” Donna L.

Donna, most men on the Standard American Diet experience elevated PSA numbers as they age. These elevated PSA numbers are usually accompanied by frequent trips to the bathroom during the night hours. If some drastic diet changes are not made, these sleep interruptions can develop into serious prostate problems. If you have followed my teachings for very long you know that I believe every physical problem has a cause and that if we will but remove the cause we will remove the problem. Prostate problems have a cause: the consumption of animal source foods (both flesh and especially dairy), along with sugar. These are the foods that lead to elevated PSA’s. My most recent laboratory test for PSA revealed I have a PSA of 0.79 only two years from my 80th birthday. A PSA reading of 0 to 4 is considered normal. How can a person my age maintain such excellent PSA numbers? Eliminating all animal source foods and getting fully on The Hallelujah Diet is primary. I have been on the Hallelujah Diet for 36 years now, and have consumed no animal flesh or dairy during those 36 years. Second in importance is consuming omega-3 fatty acids daily. I personally grind a quarter cup of flax seeds and take a teaspoon of Pharmax fish oil daily (these both go into my morning “green smoothie”). Iodine is also crucial for the prostate and I personally take 5 mg of iodine daily. Here at Hallelujah Acres we are constantly hearing incredible testimonies from men with elevated PSA numbers (and even advanced prostate cancer) who were able to correct their prostate issues after adopting The Hallelujah Diet.
