As the Rev. George Malkmus highlights in his book "God's Original Diet," there are four keys to living a long, healthy life: High quality nourishment, the removal of toxins, plenty of oxygen and adequate amounts of exercise.
Exercise is a critical factor when it comes to taking care of your overall well-being. It builds muscles, increases oxygen intake and strengthens bones, which all contribute to a healthy heart, joints, back, mind and weight. Summer vacation is right around the corner, so now's the perfect time to plan an outdoor adventure to enjoy the sunshine and get in shape. After all, it is only fair to take advantage of the light God sheds throughout your life.
“Fuel your body with nutrients to support a strong immune system.”
Here are a few outdoor workouts that can strengthen your body, no matter which vacation destination you choose:John 8:12
“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Beach jogging
If you plan to vacation with your family on the beach this summer, you should take advantage of the sandy surface. According to research conducted by Griffith University in Australia, jogging on the soft sand puts less stress on your feet than hard surfaces, which can benefit your bones and joints. Even just walking or playing a game of beach volleyball in the sand can exercise your body without putting too much strain on the joints.
Jogging on sand takes stress off your joints and tissue.
